On Freedom

Freedom is great.

The greatest freedom is reserved for the strongest people.

The greatest freedom belongs only to those souls who, despite all temptations, have shown impeccable steadfastness in virtue, and who have then found the courage to encounter the divine.

How much freedom a human being may allow himself is determined by the measure of pain he thereby (potentially) causes, both to himself and to his fellow human beings.

Enjoying the fruits of freedom in the gardens of paradise without equally (!) enjoying the fruits of love, compassion, and attentiveness leads to ostracism and eventual ruin.


The formulas listed here are equally valid for individuals, couples, worldview communities, nations, humanity... When some saints and mighty ones, time and again, put their shoulders down - this or that (for example) civilization can last even longer...


For several reasons, it is worth contemplating the meaning and purpose of taking upon oneself the burden (karma) of others.

The capacity to endure and transform pain into the Higher Life of the merciful Christ and the compassionate Buddha Maitreya remains, to this day, an unsurpassed inspiration for all of us whose time is slowly ripening...
